▼ 15 The Hijjr Valley
Al-Hijjr 2 of 6

It is We Who have set out the zodiacal signs in the heavens, and made them fair-seeming to (all) beholders; 16 and We have guarded it from every accursed devil: 17 Except the ones who listen on the sly, yet they are chased away by a shooting flame. 18 We have spread out the earth, fixed mountains thereupon and caused everything to grow to its proper weight 19 and provided thereon means of livelihood for you [O men] as well as for all [living beings] whose sustenance does not depend on you. 20 There is nothing except that its treasuries are with Us and We do not send it down except in a known measure. 21 And We have sent the fertilizing winds and sent down water from the sky and given you drink from it. And you are not its retainers. 22 for, behold, it is We - We alone - who grant life and deal death, and it is We alone who shall remain after all else will have passed away! 23 And We have already known the preceding [generations] among you, and We have already known the later [ones to come]. 24 And indeed, your Lord will gather them; indeed, He is Wise and Knowing. 25
