The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
CONSIDER the sky full of great constellations, 1 and [then bethink thyself of] the promised Day, 2 And the bearer of witness and those against whom the witness is borne. 3 THEY DESTROY [but] themselves, they who would ready a pit 4 the fire abounding in fuel, 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 And they themselves are witnesses to what they were doing to the Muslims! 7 They had nothing against them, except that they believed in Allah, the All-Mighty, Worthy of all Praise! 8 to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and earth. And Allah is the Witness of all things. 9 Surely for those who persecute believers, men and women, and do not repent afterwards, is the punishment of Hell, and the punishment of burning. 10 [But,] verily, they who attain to faith and do righteous deeds shall [in the life to come] have gardens through which running waters flow - that triumph most great! 11 Stern indeed is your Lord's punishment. 12 Surely He it is Who originates and reproduces, 13 And He is Oft-Forgiving, full of love (towards the pious who are real true believers of Islamic Monotheism), 14 Lord of the Arsh, the Glorious, 15 The Doer of whatever He wants. 16 Has it come to you the story of the hosts 17 Of Pharaoh and (the tribe of) Thamud? 18 And yet, they who are bent on denying the truth persist in giving it the lie: 19 And Allah encompasses them from behind! (i.e. all their deeds are within His Knowledge, and He will requite them for their deeds). 20 But this is an honored Qur'an 21 that exists in a well-guarded tablet. 22
