The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
(I swear) by the snorting chargers (of the warriors), whose hoofs strike against the rocks 1 And strike sparks of fire, 2 then raid by the dawn, 3 And therein raising dust. 4 forcing their way into the midst of the enemy, 5 Indeed man is very ungrateful towards his Lord. 6 And lo! he is a witness unto that; 7 And verily, he is violent in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ Knoweth he not that, when the contents of the graves are poured forth 9 and that which is in the breasts is brought out -- 10 Surely, on that Day, they will know that their Lord had full knowledge of them all. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
