O you who have believed, do not consume usury, doubled and multiplied, but fear Allah that you may be successful. 130 And fear the Fire, which is prepared for the disbelievers. 131 Obey God and the Messenger so that you may receive mercy. 132 ۞ And rush towards forgiveness from your Lord, and towards a Paradise that can hold all the heavens and the earth in its width – prepared for the pious. 133 who spend their property for the cause of God in prosperity as well as in adversity and who also harness their anger and forgive the people. God loves the righteous ones. 134 And those who, having done something to be ashamed of, or wronged their own souls, earnestly bring Allah to mind, and ask for forgiveness for their sins,- and who can forgive sins except Allah?- and are never obstinate in persisting knowingly in (the wrong) they have done. 135 These it is who shall have as their reward forgiveness from their Sustainer, and gardens through which running waters flow, therein to abide: and how excellent a reward for those who labour! 136 Many eras have passed before you. Go about, then, in the land and behold the end of those who gave the lie to (the directives and ordinances of Allah). 137 Here is a plain statement to men, a guidance and instruction to those who fear Allah! 138 So do not become weak (against your enemy), nor be sad, and you will be superior (in victory) if you are indeed (true) believers. 139 If you have been wounded they too have suffered a wound. We cause this alternation of night and day in the affairs of men so that God may know those who believe, taking some as witness (of truth) from your ranks, for God does not like those who are unjust. 140 And that Allah may test (or purify) the believers (from sins) and destroy the disbelievers. 141 Or did you suppose you should enter Paradise without God know who of you have struggled and who are patient? 142 You used to wish for death before you met it, so you have seen it while you were looking. 143
