T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ TA HA. 1 We did not reveal the Qur'an to you to cause you distress; 2 but as a reminder to he who fears. 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens. 4 the Merciful willed to the Throne. 5 Whatever is in the heavens and the earth and in between them, belongs to Him, as whatever lies under the earth. 6 If thou pronounce the word aloud, (it is no matter): for verily He knoweth what is secret and what is yet more hidden. 7 God: There is no god but He. To Him belong the attributes most beautiful. 8 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his family, "Stay here; indeed, I have perceived a fire; perhaps I can bring you a torch or find at the fire some guidance." 10 And when he came to it, he was called, "O Moses, 11 "Verily! I am your Lord! So take off your shoes, you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa. 12 "And I have chosen you. So listen to that which is inspired to you. 13 “Indeed it is Me, Allah – there is no God except I – therefore worship Me and keep the prayer established for My remembrance.” 14 The Hour of Resurrection is coming. I have willed to keep the time of its coming hidden so that everyone may be recompensed in accordance with his effort. 15 Let none bar thee from it, that believes not in it but follows after his own caprice, or thou wilt perish. 16 And what is that in your right hand, O Moses?" 17 He said, “This is my staff; I support myself on it, and I knock down leaves for my sheep with it, and there are other uses for me in it.” 18 The Lord said, "Moses, throw it on the ground". 19 So he threw it down, and lo! it was a rapidly moving snake. 20 Said He: "Take hold of it, and fear not: We shall restore it to its former state. 21 Put your hand under your armpit: it will come out [shining] white, without any blemish. This shall be another sign. 22 "That We may show you (some) of Our Greater Signs. 23 Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed." 24
