Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

By oath of the late morning, 1 and by the night when it covers the world with peace: 2 (Muhammad), your Lord has not abandoned you (by not sending you His revelation), nor is He displeased with you. 3 The reward in the next life will certainly be better for you than worldly gains. 4 Verily your Lord will soon give you so amply that you will be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan, so provided you shelter? 6 Did He not find you unaware of the Right Way, and then directed you to it? 7 And He found thee destitute, so He enriched thee. 8 Therefore do not treat the orphan with harshness, 9 nor drive away the one who asks. 10 And keep recounting the favours of your Lord. 11

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
