And when the sent angels came to the house of Lut. 61 He said, "Indeed, you are people unknown." 62 They said, "No, but we bring you news about what they disputed, 63 And bring thee the Truth, and lo! we are truth-tellers. 64 Depart with your family in a part of the night and walk behind them and let none of you turn round. Go to a place where you are commanded' 65 And We informed him the decision of this command, that at morning the root of the disbelievers would be cut off. 66 And there came the people of the city rejoicing 67 He said: verily these are my guests, so disgrace me not. 68 And keep your duty to Allah, and shame me not! 69 They said: forbade we not thee against the worlds? 70 He said: "There are my daughters (to marry), if ye must act (so)." 71 By thy life, in their intoxication they were wandering bewildered. 72 So they were seized by the mighty blast at break of day; 73 And We utterly confounded them, and We rained upon them stones of heated clay. 74 Indeed in this are signs for people who perceive. 75 Indeed, it is on a way which still exists. 76 In this there is evidence (of the Truth) for the believers. 77 The dwellers of the Wood (near Midian) were also wicked. 78 We therefore took revenge from them; and indeed both these townships are situated on an open road. 79
