Hizb 46
< random >
And, verily, Yunus (Jonah) was one of the Messengers. 139 He fled to the overloaded ship. 140 Then lots were drawn and he became of those who were pushed into the sea. 141 [and they cast him into the sea,] whereupon the great fish swallowed him, for he had been blameworthy. 142 And had he not been of those who exalt Allah, 143 He would have tarried in its belly till the day when they are raised; 144 ۞ We then put him ashore on a plain, and he was sick. 145 and We caused to grow over him a tree of gourds. 146 Then We sent him to a hundred thousand or more, 147 and they believed in him: so We let them live in ease for a while. 148 Now ask them (O Muhammad): Hath thy Lord daughters whereas they have sons? 149 Or created We the angels females while they were present? 150 Then is it of their lying that they say: 151 “Allah has begotten.” They are liars! 152 “Has he chosen daughters instead of sons?” 153 “What is the matter with you? What sort of a judgement you impose!” 154 Then will you not be reminded? 155 Or have you received some clear authority? 156 Bring your book if what you say is true. 157 They have said that there is a relationship between Him and the jinn. The jinn certainly know that they will all be brought to suffer torment. 158 Glory be to Allah (for freedom) from what they describe; 159 But not so the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 160 So indeed, you [disbelievers] and whatever you worship, 161 Not against Him can you cause (any) to fall into trial, 162 except him who shall roast in Hell. 163 There is not one of us but hath his known position. 164 we are those who stand ranged in ranks. 165 And we are most surely they who declare the glory (of Allah). 166 And surely they used to say: 167 “If only we had the Reminder which had been granted to the people of yore 168 "We should certainly have been Servants of Allah, sincere (and devoted)!" 169 But when it came to them, they rejected it. They shall soon come to know (the end of such an attitude). 170 And indeed Our Word has already gone forth for Our bondmen who were sent. 171 That they would be helped, 172 And that Our host, they verily would be the victors. 173 So turn away from them for a while. 174 and see them; soon they shall see! 175 Do they seek to hasten on Our Torment? 176 When it descends on their courtyards, how terrible that morning will be for those who were warned! 177 Leave them alone for a while, 178 And watch; they will come to know soon. 179 Purity is to your Lord, the Lord of Honour, from all what they say. 180 And peace be on the apostles. 181 And all praise to God, the Lord of all the worlds. 182
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)

Notes and Instructions
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
