Lo, the Tree of Ez-Zakkoum 43 is food for the sinner. 44 Like molten copper; it churns in their bellies. 45 Like the boiling of scalding water. 46 'Seize him and drag him into the center of Hell. 47 Then pour over his head from the torment of scalding water." 48 [It will be said], "Taste! Indeed, you are the honored, the noble! 49 This is the torment that you persistently doubted". 50 Indeed the pious are in a place of peace. 51 amidst gardens and fountains, 52 robed in silk and brocade, set face to face. 53 Thus shall it be. And We shall pair them with companions pure, most beautiful of eye. 54 In that [paradise] they shall [rightfully] claim all the fruits [of their past deeds,] resting in security; 55 They will not taste death therein, save the first death. God will save them from the torment of Hell 56 By the munificence of your Lord; this is the great success. 57 THUS, THEN, [O Prophet,] have We made this [divine writ] easy to understand, in thine own [human] tongue, so that men might take it to heart. 58 Therefore wait; surely they are waiting. 59
