Do they whose minds are filled with doubt, think that God will not expose their malice? 29 Had We wanted, We could have made you recognize their faces. You will certainly recognize them by the tone of their speech. God knows all your deeds. 30 We shall certainly test you until We know those who strive hard for the cause of God and those who exercise patience. We will also examine your deeds. 31 Lo! those who disbelieve and turn from the way of Allah and oppose the messenger after the guidance hath been manifested unto them, they hurt Allah not a jot, and He will make their actions fruitless. 32 Believers, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and do not cause your works to be nullified. 33 ۞ God will never forgive the disbelievers who prevent others from the way of God and who die as disbelievers. 34 Be not weary and faint-hearted, crying for peace, when ye should be uppermost: for Allah is with you, and will never put you in loss for your (good) deeds. 35 The life of this world is but play and pastime, but if you believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism), and fear Allah, and avoid evil, He will grant you your wages, and will not ask you your wealth. 36 Were He to ask it from you, and ask in plenty, you would be miserly, and the miserliness would expose the filth within your hearts. 37 Behold! You are those who are called upon to spend for God's cause, but among you are those who are niggardly, and whoever stints does so against his own self. Indeed, God is self-sufficient, but you stand in need [of Him], and if you turn back, He will bring in your place another people, who will not be like you. 38
