Therefore continue to remind, for by the grace of your Lord, you are not a soothsayer, or a madman. 29 Or do they say: "[He is but] a poet - let us wait what time will do unto him"? 30 say [to them], "Wait then: I too am waiting along with you!" -- 31 Enjoin them their understandings to this? or are they a people conumacious? 32 Or do they say: He has forged it. Nay! they do not believe. 33 Then let them produce speech the like thereof, if they are truthful. 34 Have they not been created from some source, or are they themselves the creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they have no firm Belief. 36 Or are the Treasures of thy Lord with them, or are they the managers (of affairs)? 37 Or, do they have a ladder on which they listen? Then let any of them that has listened bring a clear authority. 38 Or hath He daughters whereas ye have sons? 39 Or askest thou a hire from them so that they are with debt laden? 40 Or do they have knowledge of the Unknown which they write down? 41 Or are they planning a conspiracy? So the conspiracy will befall only upon the disbelievers. 42 Or have they a god other than Allah? Glory be to Allah from what they set up (with Him). 43 If they should see a part of the heavens falling down, they would say, "A mass of clouds," 44 So leave them alone until they encounter that Day of theirs when they shall be struck down, 45 the Day when none of their scheming will be of the least avail to them, and they will receive no succour. 46 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is another punishment (i.e. the torment in this world and in their graves) before this, but most of them know not. [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 27, Page 36]. 47 And be patient, [O Muhammad], for the decision of your Lord, for indeed, you are in Our eyes. And exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord when you arise. 48 and glorify Him after the setting of the stars. 49
