Have you seen the one who turned away 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Or, has he not been told of that which is in the Scrolls of Moses 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 and that everyone shall have in his account only that which he worked for, 39 And that his effort is going to be seen - 40 and that he shall then be fully recompensed, 41 And that the end is only towards your Lord? 42 That it is He Who granteth Laughter and Tears; 43 That it is He Who granteth Death and Life; 44 And that He createth the pair, the male and the female. 45 From a drop of liquid, when it is added? 46 And that upon Him (Allah) is another bringing forth (Resurrection); 47 And that it is He (Allah) Who gives much or a little (or gives wealth and contentment), 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people), 50 and Thamud tribes, 51 And before them, the people of Noah, for that they were (all) most unjust and most insolent transgressors, 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 and covered them with torment. 54 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 55 This is a warning among the warnings of yore. 56 The imminent Hour has drawn near, 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 And you laugh, and do not weep! 60 while you make merry? 61 Rather prostrate yourselves before Allah and serve Him. ۩ 62
