The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Read! In the Name of your Lord, Who has created (all that exists), 1 created Man of a blood-clot. 2 Read, for your Lord is most beneficent, 3 Who has taught (the writing) by the pen [the first person to write was Prophet Idrees (Enoch)]. 4 taught man what he did not know. 5 Yes indeed, man is surely rebellious. 6 That he thinketh himself independent! 7 truly, all will return to your Lord. 8 What thinkest thou? He who forbids 9 A servant when he prays? 10 Hast thou considered whether he is on the right way, 11 Or enjoins righteousness? 12 Tell me if he (the disbeliever, Abu Jahl) denies (the truth, i.e. this Quran), and turns away? 13 Does he not realize that God sees him? 14 Nay, but if he cease not We will seize him by the forelock - 15 A lying, sinful forelock! 16 Then let him call his associates; 17 We shall call on the guards of Hell. 18 By no means! Obey not thou him. Continue to adore, and continue to draw nigh. ۩ 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
