The tree of al-Zaqqum 43 shall be food for the sinners: 44 Like dregs of oil, it will boil in their bellies 45 Like the churning of boiling water. 46 [A voice will cry], "Seize him and drag him into the midst of Hell. 47 Then pour over his head from the torment of scalding water." 48 They will be told, "Suffer the torment. You had thought yourselves to be majestic and honorable. 49 "Verily! This is that whereof you used to doubt!" 50 The pious ones will be in a secure place 51 Amid gardens and watersprings, 52 Attired in fine silk and brocade, facing each other. 53 so it will be. We shall wed them to maidens with large, dark eyes. 54 They shall call therein for every fruit in security; 55 There they will not know any death apart from the first death they had died, and will be kept safe from the torment of Hell 56 A bounty from thy Lord. That is the supreme triumph. 57 And We have made it easy in thy language; they might haply be admonished. 58 Wait, then; they too are waiting. 59
