The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By oath of those who harshly pull out the soul. (Of the disbeliever) 1 by the drawers (the angels of death), gently drawing (the souls of the believers), 2 By the lone stars floating, 3 And those who race each other in a race 4 and by the angels who regulate the affairs, (you will certainly be resurrected). 5 On the day when the first trump resoundeth. 6 and will be followed by another quaking. 7 hearts will undergo terrible trembling, 8 and their eyes shall be downcast with dread. 9 They say: shall we indeed be restored to the first state, 10 even after we have been reduced to bones, hollow and rotten?” 11 They say, "That, then, would be a losing return." 12 Indeed, it will be but one shout, 13 and behold! They will all come out in the open. 14 Have you heard the story of Moses? 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 "Go to the Pharaoh who has become refractory, 17 "And say to him, 'Wouldst thou that thou shouldst be purified (from sin)?- 18 And that I guide you to your Lord, so you should fear Him? 19 Moses showed him the great sign, 20 but the Pharaoh rejected it and disobeyed (Moses). 21 Then he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 then he mustered 23 and said, "I am your Lord All-Highest!" 24 So Allah seized him (and made him) an example for the after (life) and for the former. 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26
