And the dwellers in Al-Hijr denied (Our) messengers. 80 We sent them Our Signs, but they persisted in turning away from them. 81 And they hewed houses in the mountains in security. 82 So the scream overcame them at morning. 83 So nothing availed them [from] what they used to earn. 84 And We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them except with truth, and the Hour is surely coming, so overlook (O Muhammad SAW), their faults with gracious forgiveness. [This was before the ordainment of Jihad holy fighting in Allah's Cause]. 85 Verify thy Lord! He is the Great Creator, the Knower. 86 AND, INDEED, We have bestowed upon thee seven of the oft repeated [verses,] and [have, thus, laid open before thee] this sublime Qur'an: 87 Cast not thine eyes toward that which We have let classes of them to enjoy; and grieve not over them, and lower thy wing unto the believers. 88 And say: "I am indeed a plain warner." 89 (Of just such wrath) as We sent down on those who divided (Scripture into arbitrary parts),- 90 and who have broken the Scripture into fragments -- 91 by your Lord, We shall question them all 92 About what they used to do. 93 Then declare what you are commanded and turn away from the polytheists. 94 Verily We will suffice unto thee against the mockers. 95 Who set up along with Allah another god; presently they shall know. 96 Well know We that thy bosom is oppressed by what they say, 97 But celebrate the praises of thy Lord, and be of those who prostrate themselves in adoration. 98 And serve thy Lord until there come unto thee the Hour that is Certain. 99
