The people of Noah [too] gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 105 when their brother Noah said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 106 Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, 107 So fear Allah and obey me. 108 I ask no recompense of you for it. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 109 So fear Allah and obey me." 110 ۞ They said: Shall we believe in you while the meanest follow you? 111 He said: And what knowledge have I of what they may have been doing (in the past)? 112 It is for my Lord to bring them to book, if you can understand. 113 I am certainly not one to drive away the believers. 114 I am only a plain warner." 115 They said: "If you do not desist, O Noah, you will be stoned to death." 116 He said, "My Lord, indeed my people have denied me. 117 so give true deliverance between me and them, and deliver me and the believers that are with me. 118 So We delivered him and those with him, in the Ark filled (with all creatures). 119 then afterwards We drowned the rest. 120 There is certainly a sign in that; but most of them do not believe: 121 But surely your Lord is mighty and merciful. 122
