Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
AlifLaamMeem. 1 The revelation of the Book, there is no doubt in it, is from the Lord of the worlds. 2 What! They dare say that, “He has fabricated it”? In fact it is the Truth from your Lord, in order that you warn a nation towards whom no Herald of Warning came before you, in the hope of their attaining guidance. 3 God is the one who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in six days, then He established His dominion over the Throne. No one besides Him is your guardian or intercessor. Will you then not take heed? 4 He directeth the ordinance from the heaven unto the earth; then it ascendeth unto Him in a Day, whereof the measure is a thousand years of that ye reckon. 5 Such is the Knower of the unseen and the seen, the Mighty, the Merciful. 6 Who made all things He created excellent; and first fashioned man from clay, 7 then He causes him to be begotten out of the essence of a humble fluid; 8 Then He proportioned him and breathed into him from His [created] soul and made for you hearing and vision and hearts; little are you grateful. 9 But they say: "When we have mingled with the earth, shall we be created anew?" In fact they deny the meeting with their Lord. 10 ۞ Say: 'The Angel of Death, who has been given charge of you will gather you then to your Lord you shall be returned' 11
