Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 As justification or warning, 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 For the living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
