The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By those (angels) who pull out (the souls of the disbelievers and the wicked) with great violence; 1 and gently take it away; 2 And [by] those who glide [as if] swimming 3 and vie with the others (in carrying out their Lord's behests); 4 by those that direct an affair! 5 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, 6 and will be followed by the second one, 7 Hearts on that day shall palpitate, 8 Unable to lift their gaze. 9 They are [presently] saying, "Will we indeed be returned to [our] former state [of life]? 10 After having turned to carious bones?" 11 They say: “That will then be a return with a great loss!” 12 However, it will only take a single blast 13 and lo, they will all be in the open plain. 14 Has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 'Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent. 17 Then say: Have you (a desire) to purify yourself: 18 And I will guide you to your Lord so that you should fear. 19 Then did (Moses) show him the Great Sign. 20 but he denied it and refused [the faith]. 21 Then he turned away in a hurry, 22 Then he gathered and cried aloud, 23 Saying: "I am your lord, most high", 24 Thereupon Allah seized him for the chastisement of the World to Come as well as of the present. 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26
