The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
When the sun is folded up, 1 When the stars fall, losing their lustre; 2 When the mountains vanish (like a mirage); 3 And when the she-camels big with young shall be abandoned, 4 And when the wild beasts are herded together, 5 And when the seas are set afire. 6 when the souls are coupled (to their body), 7 questions are asked about the baby girls buried alive, 8 Upon what sin was she killed for. 9 when the records of men's deeds are laid open, 10 And when the heaven has its covering removed, 11 And when hell is lighted, 12 and Paradise brought nigh: 13 A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it]. 14 So verily, I swear by the planets that recede (i.e. disappear during the day and appear during the night). 15 That run their course (and) hide themselves, 16 and sit during the day, or by the darkening night 17 And the morning when it brightens, 18 Verily, this is the Word (this Quran brought by) a most honourable messenger [Jibrael (Gabriel), from Allah to the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)]. 19 Owner of power, and high rank with (Allah) the Lord of the Throne, 20 who is obeyed there and is worthy of trust. 21 Your companion is not mad. 22 And indeed he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) saw him [Jibrael (Gabriel)] in the clear horizon (towards the east). 23 He is not avid of the Unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of a satan accursed. 25 Whither then will you go? 26 This is nothing but a Reminder to the worlds, 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 Though you cannot desire except as God will, the Lord of all the worlds. 29
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
