The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 And what could make thee conceive what it is that comes in the night? 2 It is the shining star -- 3 There is no soul but has a protector over it. 4 So let man consider of what he is created: 5 He was created of a gushing fluid, 6 Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs: 7 Surely, He is Able to bring him back, 8 The Day that (all) things secret will be tested, 9 he shall have no power, and no helper. 10 By the heaven with its recurring cycle of rain, 11 by the earth cracking open with new growth. 12 the Quran is the final word, 13 It is no pleasantry. 14 They are devising guile, 15 And I am plotting a plot. 16 Therefore respite the unbelievers, and delay them for a while. 17

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
