Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe to every fault-finding back-biter, 1 who amasses wealth and counts it over and again. 2 Thinking that his wealth would make him last for ever! 3 On the contrary! He shall be flung to the Crusher. 4 And what will make you know what the crushing Fire is? 5 It is the fire of Allah, [eternally] fueled, 6 the Fire that shall rise to the hearts (of criminals). 7 It shall be made into a vault over them, 8 In extended columns. 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
