But as for those who are bent on giving the lie to Our messages - We shall bring them low, step by step, without their perceiving how it came about: 182 Respite will I grant unto them: for My scheme is strong (and unfailing). 183 Have they not bethought themselves their companion is not mad? He is only a plain admonisher. 184 Do they see nothing in the government of the heavens and the earth and all that Allah hath created? (Do they not see) that it may well be that their terms is nigh drawing to an end? In what message after this will they then believe? 185 Whoever Allah sends astray - there is no guide for him. And He leaves them in their transgression, wandering blindly. 186 They ask you, [O Muhammad], about the Hour: when is its arrival? Say, "Its knowledge is only with my Lord. None will reveal its time except Him. It lays heavily upon the heavens and the earth. It will not come upon you except unexpectedly." They ask you as if you are familiar with it. Say, "Its knowledge is only with Allah, but most of the people do not know." 187 Say: "I have no power over any good or harm to myself except as Allah willeth. If I had knowledge of the unseen, I should have multiplied all good, and no evil should have touched me: I am but a warner, and a bringer of glad tidings to those who have faith." 188
