And indeed, [in times long past] We sent forth Noah unto his people, and he dwelt among them a thousand years bar fifty; and then the floods overwhelmed them while they were still lost in evildoing: 14 but We saved him, together with all who were in the ark, which We then set up as a symbol [of Our grace] for all people [to remember]. 15 And [We sent] Abraham, when he said to his people, "Worship Allah and fear Him. That is best for you, if you should know. 16 "You worship besides Allah only idols, and you only invent falsehood. Verily, those whom you worship besides Allah have no power to give you provision, so seek your provision from Allah (Alone), and worship Him (Alone), and be grateful to Him. To Him (Alone) you will be brought back. 17 “And if you deny, then many nations have denied before you; and the Noble Messenger is not responsible except to plainly convey (the message).” 18 Have they not seen how God begins the creation and then turns it back? This is not difficult at all for God. 19 Say: "Travel through the earth and see how Allah did originate creation; so will Allah produce a later creation: for Allah has power over all things. 20 He chastises whom He will and forgives whom He will. To Him all of you will be sent back. 21 And you cannot escape in the earth or in the heaven. And besides Allah you have neither any Wali (Protector or Guardian) nor any Helper. 22
