We have made the heavens with Our own hands and We expanded it. 47 And We have spread out the earth, how Excellent Spreader (thereof) are We! 48 and We created pairs of all things so that you might reflect. 49 So flee to Allah. Indeed, I am to you from Him a clear warner. 50 And do not set up with Allah another god: surely I am a plain warner to you from Him. 51 Thus there did not come to those before them an apostle but they said: A magician or a mad man. 52 Have they, perchance, handed down this [way of thinking] as a legacy unto one another? Nay, they are people filled with overweening arrogance! 53 So turn away thou from them, not thou art blameworthy. 54 And warn, for warning profiteth believers. 55 And I have not created the jinn and mankind but that they should worship Me. 56 I seek not any provision from them (i.e. provision for themselves or for My creatures) nor do I ask that they should feed Me (i.e. feed themselves or My creatures). 57 Verily Allah! He is the Provider, Owner of power, Firm. 58 And indeed, for those who have wronged is a portion [of punishment] like the portion of their predecessors, so let them not impatiently urge Me. 59 And woe unto those who disbelieve, from (that) their day which they are promised. 60
