Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 As justification or warning, 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For what day is it timed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 for an appointed term? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 for the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
