The News (Al-Naba')
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej) before The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ About what are they asking one another? 1 About the great news, (i.e. Islamic Monotheism, the Quran, which Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) brought and the Day of Resurrection, etc.), 2 whereon they are at variance. 3 Surely yes, they will soon come to know! 4 Verily, verily they shall soon (come to) know! 5 Have We not made the earth as a bed, 6 and raised the mountains like supporting poles? 7 and created you in pairs (as men and women), 8 And made your sleep for rest, 9 And We have made the night a covering. 10 and We made the day for a livelihood. 11 We raised over you several secure (skies), 12 And made [therein] a burning lamp 13 and sent down abundant water from the clouds 14 That We may bring forth thereby grain and vegetation 15 And orchards full of trees and interlacing boughs. 16 Verily the Day of Sorting out is a thing appointed, 17 The Day the Horn is blown and you will come forth in multitudes 18 And the heaven will have been opened, and it will have become doors. 19 And the mountains will be moved they will therefore become like mirages. 20 Surely, Hell lies in wait, 21 A home for the rebellious. 22 for the rebellious ones and they will live therein for ages. 23 tasting neither coolness nor any drink 24 Except scalding water and [foul] purulence - 25 Recompense fitted! 26 Behold, they were not expecting to be called to account, 27 And denied Our verses with [emphatic] denial. 28 and everything We have numbered in a Book. 29 Therefore taste it now We shall not increase anything for you except the punishment. 30

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
