Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

By the midmorning, 1 And by oath of the night when it covers, 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased, 3 And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former, 4 Verily your Lord will soon give you so amply that you will be well-pleased. 5 Found He not thee an orphan, so He sheltered thee? 6 And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance. 7 And found thee in want, and given thee sufficiency? 8 Therefore, be not harsh with the orphan; 9 and do not chide the one who asks for help; 10 And abundantly proclaim the favours of your Lord. 11

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
