The people of Noah rejected the messengers. 105 span class="col">Their brother Noah asked them, "Why do you not fear God? 106 "I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 107 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me 108 And I do not ask you any reward for it; my reward is only with the Lord of the worlds: 109 So fear Allah and obey me." 110 ۞ They said, 'Shall we believe thee, whom the vilest follow?' 111 He said, “What do I know what their deeds are?” 112 "Their account is only with my Lord, if ye could (but) understand. 113 "I am not one to drive away those who believe. 114 'I am naught but a plain warner.' 115 They said: "If thou desist not, O Noah! thou shalt be stoned (to death)." 116 He said: My Lord! Surely my people give me the lie! 117 Judge among us and save me and the believers with me". 118 So We delivered him, and those with him, in the laden ship, 119 and then We caused those who stayed behind to drown. 120 In this [story,] behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 121 And lo, thy Lord, He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 122
