The tree of al-Zaqqum 43 Is food for the sinful. 44 It is like pitch. It will fume in the belly 45 like water. 46 'Seize him and drag him into the center of Hell. 47 “Then pour on his head the punishment of boiling water.” 48 (Saying): Taste! Lo! thou wast forsooth the mighty, the noble! 49 This is the very thing which you [deniers of the truth] were wont to call in question!" 50 Indeed the pious are in a place of peace. 51 among gardens and fountains, 52 wearing [garments] of silk and brocade, facing one another [in love]. 53 Just like that. We shall pair them with companions with large black eyes. 54 They will call therein for every [kind of] fruit - safe and secure. 55 They taste not death therein, save the first death. And He hath saved them from the doom of hell, 56 as a favour from your Lord. That is the great triumph. 57 And We have made this Qur’an easy in your language, for them to understand. 58 Wait then (O Muhammad). Lo! they (too) are waiting. 59
