The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ THE MOST GRACIOUS 1 Has taught (you mankind) the Quran (by His Mercy). 2 He created man. 3 He has imparted unto him articulate thought and speech. 4 The sun and moon rotate in a predestined orbit. 5 the stars and the trees bend in prostration. 6 He raised the heavens and set up everything in balance, 7 so that you would maintain justice. 8 And establish the measures justly, nor decrease the due weight. 9 He positioned the earth for all the creatures: 10 Therein are fruits, date-palms producing sheathed fruit-stalks (enclosing dates). 11 and grain in the blade, and fragrant herbs. 12 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 13 He has created man from dry, rotten clay like the potter's, 14 And created jinn from the flame of fire. 15 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 16 Lord of the Two Easts, Lord of the Two Wests, 17 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 18 He released the two seas, meeting [side by side]; 19 Between them is a barrier, which they do not overrun. 20 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 21 Pearls and corals come from both. 22 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 23 And His are the lofty ships that sail like [floating] mountains through the seas. 24 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 25
