Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 When the oceans begin to flow, 3 And when the graves are overturned. 4 then everyone will know what he has sent ahead, and what he has left behind. 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 Surely there are guardians over you, 10 Honourablel scribes. 11 They know all that you do. 12 Indeed, the righteous shall (live) in bliss. 13 And most surely the wicked are in burning fire, 14 They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment, 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again, what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 On that day, no soul will be of any benefit to any other soul. On that day, all affairs will be in the hands of God. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
