Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
HAS NEWS OF the Overpowering Event reached you? 1 On that day the faces of some people will be humbly cast down, 2 labouring, weary, 3 they shall burn in a Scorching Fire; 4 Given to drink of a spring fiercely boiling. 5 No food shall be theirs save bitter thorn, 6 Neither nourishing nor banishing hunger. 7 Faces on that day jocund, 8 with their striving well-pleased, 9 They will be in a lofty Garden 10 In which they will not hear any lewd speech. 11 with a flowing spring, 12 Therein will be thrones raised high, 13 Goblets placed (ready), 14 And arranged carpets. 15 And carpets spread around. 16 What, do they not consider how the camel was created, 17 And at the sky, how it is raised aloft? 18 And at the mountains - how they are erected? 19 And the earth, how it was spread out? 20 So remind them (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)), you are only a one who reminds. 21 You are not charged to oversee them. 22 But he who turns his back, and disbelieves, 23 In which case he will be punished by God with the severest punishment. 24 Verily, to Us will be their return; 25 Then indeed only upon Us is their reckoning. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
