And remember Our slave Ayub (Job), when he invoked his Lord (saying): "Verily! Shaitan (Satan) has touched me with distress (by losing my health) and torment (by losing my wealth)! 41 (The command was given:) "Strike with thy foot: here is (water) wherein to wash, cool and refreshing, and (water) to drink." 42 We restored his family to him with others similar to them, as a blessing from Us and a reminder for men of wisdom. -- 43 And (it was said unto him): Take in thine hand a branch and smite therewith, and break not thine oath. Lo! We found him steadfast, how excellent a slave! Lo! he was ever turning in repentance (to his Lord). 44 Remember also Our servants Abraham, Isaac and Jacob -- men of might they and of vision. 45 Lo! We purified them with a pure thought, remembrance of the Home (of the Hereafter). 46 And verily they are with us of the elect of the excellent ones. 47 And remember Ismail and Al-Yasha and Zulkifl; and they were all of the best. 48 This is a Reminder, and indeed for the cautious is a fine return, 49 They will enter gardens of Eden with their gates open for them. 50 wherein they recline, and wherein they call for fruits abundant, and sweet potions, 51 ۞ And with them are the pure spouses, who do not set gaze upon men except their husbands, of single age. 52 Such is the Promise made, to you for the Day of Account! 53 Most surely this is Our sustenance; it shall never come to an end; 54 This is for the virtuous; and indeed for the rebellious is a wretched destination. 55 Hell, where they will burn, an evil resting-place. 56 all this will be theirs; let them taste it -- a scalding, dark, foul fluid, 57 and other sufferings of the kind. 58 (We shall say to their leaders): 'This is a troop rushing in with you, there is no welcome for them, they shall roast in the Fire' 59 The followers will say, “In fact, for you! May you not get open space! It is you who brought this calamity upon us!” So what a wretched destination. 60 [And] they will pray: "O our Sustainer! Whoever has prepared this for us, double Thou his suffering in the fire!" 61 And will add: "O what has happened to us that we do not see the men we counted among the wicked. 62 [and] whom we made the target of our derision? Or is it that [they are here, and] our eyes have missed them?" 63 Indeed, that is truth - the quarreling of the people of the Fire. 64
