Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ The Inevitable Reality - 1 What is the Inevitable? 2 What makes you to know what the Resurrection Verifier is? 3 The Thamud and 'Ad denied the consequential calamity. 4 As for Thamud, they were destroyed by the outburst. 5 And as for A’ad, they were destroyed by a severe thundering windstorm. 6 which He let loose upon them for seven nights and eight days in succession; so that (if you had been there) you might have seen people lying prostrate, as though they were uprooted trunks of hollowed palm trees. 7 and dost thou now see any remnant of them? 8 Pharoah and those before him and the inhabitants of the overthrown cities persistently committed grave sins. 9 And they disobeyed their Lord's apostle, so He laid hold of them with a grip increasing. 10 When the water rose in flood, We bore you in the ark, 11 In order to make it a warning for you, and that the ear retentive may preserve it. 12 So when the Trumpet is blown with a single blast 13 And the earth and the mountains shall be removed from their places, and crushed with a single crushing, 14 And so, that which must come to pass will on that day have come to pass; 15 and heaven shall be split, for upon that day it shall be very frail, 16 And the angels will be on its sides, and eight will, that Day, bear the Throne of thy Lord above them. 17 On that Day you shall be exposed, and no secret of yours will remain hidden. 18 Then, he who is given his book in his right hand will say: 'Here, take and read my book! 19 “I was certain that I will confront my account.” 20 And he will be in a life of Bliss, 21 in a lofty Garden 22 Its [fruit] to be picked hanging near. 23 “Eat and drink with pleasure – the reward of what you sent ahead, in the past days.” 24 And whoever is given his book in his left hand – he will say, “Alas, if only my account were not given to me!” 25 And had not known what is my account. 26 “Alas, if only it had been just death.” 27 My riches have not availed me, 28 and my authority has been destroyed' 29 Lay hold on him, then put a chain on him, 30 then throw them into hell to be heated up therein. 31 then in a chain of seventy cubits' length insert him! 32 He did not believe in God the supreme, 33 Nor he urged on others the feeding of the poor. 34 Therefore he has not here today a true friend, 35 Nor any food except from the discharge of wounds; 36 that none but sinners eat' 37
