Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 The living and the dead, 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
