In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
READ IN THE name of your Lord who created, 1 He created man from a clot. 2 Read, and your Lord only is the Most Beneficent, 3 Who teacheth by the pen, 4 Teacheth man that which he knew not. 5 Nay, but verily man is rebellious 6 Because he considers himself self-sufficient. 7 Verily unto thy Lord is the return. 8 What do you think? Have you seen he who forbids 9 A slave (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) when he prays? 10 Bethinkest thou, if he is himself guided, 11 or enjoins true piety? 12 Hast thou seen if he denieth (Allah's guidance) and is froward? 13 Does he not know that Allah sees? 14 Nay, if he desist not, We shall most surely drag him down upon his forehead 15 his lying sinful forelock. 16 So, let him call upon his way! 17 We will call the guards of Hell (to deal with him)! 18 No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near [to Allah]. ۩ 19
