The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By those who set the ranks in battle order 1 by those who reprove severely, 2 and those who recite the Remembrance 3 your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them – and the Lord of the sun’s rising points. 5 Surely We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment, the stars, 6 to protect them from the rebellious satan. 7 [so that] they [who seek to learn the unknowable] should not be able to overhear the host on high, but shall be repelled from all sides, 8 and driven away to suffer the necessary torment. 9 Except such as snatch away something by stealing and they are pursued by a flaming fire of piercing brightness. 10 So ask them (that is, human beings): “Were they harder to create than the objects We created?” We created them from sticky clay. 11 You marvel (at the wondrous creations of Allah) and they scoff at it, 12 And when they are admonished, they receive not admonition. 13 And whenever they see a sign, they mock at it. 14 it and say, "It is only plain magic". 15 Why - after we have died and become mere dust and bones, shall we, forsooth, be raised from the dead? 16 “And also our forefathers?” 17 Say: "Yea, indeed - and most abject will you then be!" 18 There will be a single stern rebuff and lo, they will be observing with their own eyes (all that they had been warned against). 19 And they shall say: O woe to us! this is the day of requital. 20 [And they will be told:] "This is the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false - the Day] which you were wont to call a lie!" 21
