3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah called for help. How blessed was the answer which he received. 75 We saved him and his family from the great affliction, 76 And his offspring! them We made the survivors. 77 And left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations to come in later times: 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all the worlds' 79 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 80 He was one of Our believing servants. 81 We drowned all the others (besides Noah and his people). 82 ۞ And Abraham indeed was of his inducement, 83 Behold! he approached his Lord with a sound heart. 84 Recall what time he said unto his father and his people: What is it that ye worship? 85 Is it a falsehood - gods beside Allah - that ye desire? 86 What do you imagine the Lord of the worlds to be?" 87 Then he looked at the stars, looking up once, 88 and he said, 'Surely I am sick.' 89 So turning their backs, they went away from him. 90 Then turned he to their gods and said: Will ye not eat? 91 What ails you, that you speak not?' 92 Then he started striking them down with his right hand. 93 Then came (the worshippers) with hurried steps, and faced (him). 94 but he said, "How can you worship things you carve with your own hands, 95 Whereas Allah hath created you and that which ye make? 96 They said, 'Build him a building, and cast him into the furnace!' 97 But whereas they sought to do evil unto him, We [frustrated their designs, and thus] brought them low? 98 He said: "I will go to my Lord! He will surely guide me! 99 My Lord! grant me of the doers of good deeds. 100 So We gave him good tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 When his son was old enough to work with him, he said, "My son, I have had a dream that I must sacrifice you. What do you think of this?" He replied, "Father, fulfill whatever you are commanded to do and you will find me patient, by the will of God". 102 When they submitted to the will of God, and (Abraham) laid (his son) down prostrate on his temple, 103 And We called out to him: "O Abraham! 104 Of a surety thou hast fulfilled the vision. Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 105 For this was obviously a trial- 106 So, We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 and left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 108 Salamun (peace) be upon Ibrahim (Abraham)!" 109 This is how We reward the virtuous. 110 he was among Our believing servants. 111 We gave Abraham the good news of Isaac, a prophet and a righteous man, 112 And We blessed him and Is-haq; and of their offspring are some well-doers and some who wrong themselves manifestly. 113
