Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By those that winnow with a winnowing 1 then the bearers of weight (the clouds), 2 And the ships that glide with ease. 3 And those (angels) who distribute (provisions, rain, and other blessings) by (Allah's) Command; 4 Verily, that which you are promised (i.e. Resurrection in the Hereafter and receiving the reward or punishment of good or bad deeds, etc.) is surely true. 5 And verily, the Recompense is sure to happen. 6 by the heaven full of tracks, 7 Truly ye are in a doctrine discordant, 8 and are turned away from him who is turned. 9 Slain be those who mould from their imaginations. 10 who are heedless in the immersion. 11 They ask, "When is the Day of Recompense?" 12 It will be on the day when they will be roasted in the fire. 13 [And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient." 14 The righteous shall live among gardens and fountains, 15 Taking joy in the things which their Lord gives them, because, before then, they lived a good life. 16 they would lie asleep during but a small part of the night, 17 And in the dawns they prayed for forgiveness. 18 And in their property was a portion due to him who begs and to him who is denied (good). 19 On the earth are signs for those of assured Faith, 20 just as [there are signs thereof] within your own selves: can you not, then, see? 21 In the sky is your provision and that which you are promised. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth it is sure, even as it is a fact that ye are speaking. 23
