And the dwellers of Al Hijr also belied the Messengers. 80 And We gave them Our signs, and they remained averse to them. 81 They hewed their dwellings out of the mountains in safety. 82 and so the blast [of Our punishment] overtook them at early morn, 83 Then availed them not that which they had been earning. 84 We have not created but with reason the heavens and the earth and all that lies within them. The Hour (of the great change) is certain to come. So turn away (from them) with a grace. 85 Your Lord is certainly the All-knowing Creator. 86 We have indeed given you the seven oft-repeated (examples), and the majestic Qur'an. 87 Do not yearn for other people's property and wives and do not grieve (that they do not believe). Be kind to the believers. 88 And say thou: verily I! I am a plain warner. 89 Like as We sent down on the dividers 90 And severed their Scripture into fragments. 91 So, by your Lord (O Muhammad SAW), We shall certainly call all of them to account. 92 for whatever they have done! 93 (O Prophet), proclaim what you are commanded, and pay no heed to those who associate others with Allah in His Divinity. 94 verily, We shall suffice thee against all who [now] deride [this message - all] 95 Who place other gods besides God. They will come to know soon. 96 Well know We that thy bosom is oppressed by what they say, 97 Therefore celebrate the praise of your Lord, and be of those who make obeisance. 98 and worship your Lord until what is certain [death] comes to you. 99
