T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Ta Ha 1 We did not bestow the Qur'an on thee from on high to make thee unhappy, 2 But only as an admonition to those who fear (Allah),- 3 A down-sent from Him who Created the earth and the heavens high. 4 The Compassionate on the Throne is established. 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth, and all that is between them, and all that is under the soil. 6 Whether or not you express (your thoughts) in words, God certainly knows all unspoken thoughts and all that is even more difficult to find. 7 God - there is no deity save Him; His [alone] are the attributes of perfection! 8 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his wife, “Wait – I have seen a fire – perhaps I may bring you an ember from it or find a way upon the fire.” 10 When he came near the fire he was called, "Moses, 11 I am your Lord! Take off your sandals, for you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa. 12 I Myself have chosen you; therefore, give ear to what is revealed. 13 I am God, and there is no god but I, so serve Me, and observe acts of prayer to remember Me. 14 "Behold, [although] I have willed to keep it hidden, the Last Hour is bound to come, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with what he strove for [in life]. 15 "Therefore, let not the one who believes not therein (i.e. in the Day of Resurrection, Reckoning, Paradise and Hell, etc.), but follows his own lusts, divert you therefrom, lest you perish. 16 And what is that in your right hand, O Moses?" 17 He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, bring down leaves for my sheep with it and I need it for other reasons. 18 (Allah) said: "Cast it down, O Musa (Moses)!" 19 So he threw it down, and thereupon it was a snake, moving swiftly. 20 Said He, 'Take it, and fear not; We will restore it to its first state. 21 "Now draw thy hand close to thy side: It shall come forth white (and shining), without harm (or stain),- as another Sign,- 22 "That We may show you (some) of Our Greater Signs. 23 Go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 24
