Do not those who deny the truth see that the heavens and the earth were joined together and that We then split them asunder? And that We have made every living thing out of water? Will they still not believe? 30 And We placed within the earth firmly set mountains, lest it should shift with them, and We made therein [mountain] passes [as] roads that they might be guided. 31 And We have made the heaven a guarded canopy and (yet) they turn aside from its signs. 32 And He it is Who created the night and the day and the sun and the moon; all (orbs) travel along swiftly in their celestial spheres. 33 We appointed immortality for no mortal before thee. What! if thou diest, can they be immortal! 34 Every soul will know the taste of death. We tempt you with evil and with good as a trial; and to Us you will return. 35 And when those who disbelieve see you, they do not take you but for one to be scoffed at: Is this he who speaks of your gods? And they are deniers at the mention of the Beneficent Allah. 36 Man was created of haste. Assuredly I shall show you My signs; so demand not that I make haste. 37 They say: 'If you are truthful, when will this promise come' 38 If only those who deny the truth knew the time when they would not be able to ward off the fire neither from their faces nor from their backs. They will not be helped! 39 Indeed, it will come upon them suddenly and confound them; and they will not be able to ward it off, nor shall they be reprieved. 40 And indeed the Noble Messengers before you were mocked at, but their mockery ruined the mockers themselves. 41
