AND IT IS We who have built the universe with [Our creative] power; and verily, it is We who are steadily expanding it. 47 And the earth – We spread it out, and how well have We smoothed it! 48 And in everything have We created opposites, so that you might bear in mind [that God alone is One]. 49 Therefore, flee to Allah. I am a clear warner to you from Him. 50 Do not set up another god with God. I give you a clear warning from Him. 51 Thus there did not come to those before them an apostle but they said: A magician or a mad man. 52 Is this the legacy they have passed down from one to the other? In fact, they are a rebellious people. 53 So turn away thou from them, not thou art blameworthy. 54 Do, however, keep exhorting them; for exhortation benefits those endowed with faith. 55 And I created the jinns and men, only for them to worship Me. 56 I seek no livelihood from them, nor do I ask that they should feed Me. 57 It is God Who is the Sustainer and the Lord of invincible strength. 58 The evildoers shall have for their portion, a portion like their companions (who were destroyed before them). Therefore, they should not ask Us to hasten! 59 So ruin is for disbelievers, from their day – which they are promised. 60
