The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the inevitable event comes, 1 and then there will be no one to deny its occurrence 2 The event will be abasing some, and exalting some. 3 When the earth is shaken with a shock 4 and the mountains crumbled, 5 So that they become dust seattered. 6 And ye are classes three. 7 Companions of the Right, what are the Companions of the Right? 8 And the companions of the left - what are the companions of the left? 9 And those who surpassed have indeed excelled. 10 They shall be near-stationed (to their Lord), 11 In Gardens of Delight. 12 (a throng of the ancients 13 but only a few from the later generations. 14 (They will be) on thrones woven with gold and precious stones, 15 they shall recline, facing each other, 16 There will circulate among them young boys made eternal 17 With goblets, (shining) beakers, and cups (filled) out of clear-flowing fountains: 18 that will neither make the head throb, nor intoxicate, 19 and such fruits as they shall choose, 20 and any flesh of fowl that they desire. 21 And wide eyed houris 22 Like unto Pearls well-guarded. 23 as reward for their deeds. 24 Not frivolity will they hear therein, nor any taint of ill,- 25 Except the saying, “Peace, peace.” 26 And the fellows on the right hand; how be happy shall the fellows on the right hand be! 27 They shall be in the midst of thornless lote trees, 28 and flower-clad acacias, 29 And in everlasting shade. 30 Gushing water, 31 and an abundance of fruits, 32 Whose season is not limited, and their supply will not be cut off, 33 And couches raised up. 34 Surely We have made them to grow into a (new) growth, 35 And made them virginal, 36 Devoted [to their husbands] and of equal age, 37 For those of the right hand. 38

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
