The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
When the sun is overthrown, 1 And when the stars fall, dispersing, 2 And when the mountains are driven. 3 the young barren camels are abandoned, 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 and when the seas boil over, 6 And when the souls shall be joined with their bodies; 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 such as, "For what crime were they murdered?" 9 when the records of men's deeds are laid open, 10 when heaven is stripped, 11 And when the Scorch shall be made to blaze, 12 and Paradise is brought near, 13 Every soul will then come know what it has brought. 14 So, I call the receding stars to witness, 15 the planets that run their course and set, 16 And by the night when it departeth, 17 and brightening morning, 18 Verily it is a Word brought by a messenger honoured, 19 The processor of strength, having an honorable place with the Lord of the Dominion, 20 obeyed by (all creatures) and faithful to His trust. 21 Your companion is not one possessed: 22 He certainly saw him (Gabriel) high up on the horizon in his original form 23 And he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) withholds not a knowledge of the unseen. 24 Nor is this the word of an outcast devil. 25 Where then will you go? 26 This is merely a reminder to all mankind; 27 for whosoever of you who would go straight; 28 And you will not, unless (it be) that Allah wills, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 29
