Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 Illustrious scribes 11 and these honorable scribes know whatever you do. 12 Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure, 13 And verily, the Fujjar (the wicked, disbelievers, sinners and evil-doers) will be in the blazing Fire (Hell), 14 roasting in it on the Day of Recompense 15 and then shall never come out of it. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 How then can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
