The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

By the snorting, panting horses, 1 And striking off fire by dashing their hoofs. 2 And the chargers at dawn, 3 and leave behind a cloud of dust 4 and penetrate deep into a host. 5 Lo! man is an ingrate unto his Lord 6 And most surely he is a witness of that. 7 Surely, he is ardent in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Is he not aware of the time when the contents of the graves will be brought out? 9 and all that is in the hearts is made public, 10 That their Lord had been Well-acquainted with them, (even to) that Day? 11
