The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who hath created and then proportioned, 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 And who brings out the pasture 4 then made it dry dark, flaky stubble, 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. 7 and [thus] shall We make easy for thee the path towards [ultimate] ease. 8 So remind, if the reminder should benefit; 9 He who fears [Allah] will be reminded. 10 But it will be avoided by the wretched, 11 even he who shall roast in the Great Fire, 12 Then he will neither die in it, nor live. 13 He who purified himself shall prosper, 14 And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, 15 However, (the disbelievers) prefer the worldly life 16 although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This, indeed, was in the ancient Scrolls, 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
